It has been four days now since researcher from BMKG and BPPT and security officer from TNI AL joined the crews and scientists who have already on board the R/V Mirai. Their trip on 21 November 2017 was a bit challenging since it was reportedly raining hard around Singapore that particular day and the team needed to take shelter in a tiny island nearby. Thankfully, all made it safely to the R/V.

As scheduled, activities on Day 1 and Day 2 consisted of emergency practise, meetings, and tour around the vessel. Every observation equipment were explored thoroughly by all team members to ensure everybody's awareness and understanding of the utilisation of those equipment during the cruise. In a nutshell, safety and professionalism are considered to be the highlights of all the activities onboard the R/V.
