CALIBRATION EQUIPMENT METEOROLOGY

Sub Division of Calibration of Meteorological Equipment has the task to the preparation of equipment calibration procedures, standardization, and specification of standard equipment and calibrators, as well as implementation inventerisasi, monitorting and evaluation, procurement, repairs and equipment pemiliharaan calibrators and calibration equipment implementation in the field of operations in the field of meteorology.

BMKG PUSINKAL Laboratory Calibration Laboratory which is part of the Instrumentation Center, Engineering, and Calibration, under Climatology Meteorology and Geophysics Agency.

The calibration laboratory accredited by National Accreditation Committee, and thus working methods, documentation, etc. relating to calibrators and calibration equipment and standard equipment have been followed and traceable to international standards.

Laboratory PUSINKAL BMKG always trying to improve the effectiveness of management systems on an ongoing basis through the use of quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, data analysis, corrective and preventive actions and management reviews.

LABORATORY QUALITY POLICY PUSINKAL BMKG

  1. Provide calibration services in a professional and excellent service to customers.
  2. Applying the requirements of ISO / IEC 17025:2005, and improve the effectiveness of sustainable management systems.
  3. Perform continuous improvement.
  4. All personnel understand the quality documentation, implementing policies and procedures in carrying out duties and was responsible for convincing customers that the contribution to effective and satisfactory.

QUALITY OBJECTIVES

  1. Laboratory Quality Policy PUSINKAL BMKG realized by setting quality objectives of the program are made each year.
  2. Quality targets are set at the time of meeting management review meetings.
  3. Quality Goals established by reference to the quality policy and establish programs and targets to be achieved in quantitative values.

Here are some calibration device yanga on PUSINKAL Meteorological Lab BMKG.

WIND TUNNEL

Tool in the form of tunnel or tunnel serves as a place to calibrate the sensors or devices measuring wind speed, such as Anemometer, Cup Counter, and others.

The working principle of this tool is the use of the vacuum motor, which motor is used to suck air from outside and flowed through the tunnel and past the sensors to be calibrated. The wind flow speed can be adjusted as needed.

TEMPERATURE TEST CABINET

This cabinet-shaped device that serves as a place where sensors or devices measuring temperature, such as the thermograph, thermometer, Pt.100, etc.. can be calibrated.

In principle it works, this tool uses refrigrator as cooling medium and the heater as a heater. Inside the Chamber is also a fan that is useful to menstabilakn temperature therein. Setting the temperature is set by using the touch panel is modified according to need.

PRESSURE CHAMBER

Functioning as a place to perform the calibration of air pressure measuring devices, such as mercury barometer, aneroid and barograph. As a means of comparison used a mercury barometer barometer type test.

The working principle of this tool is a big change in air pressure inside the test chamber through the pump pressure / vacuum by first set the position of valve / valve in accordance with a process be implemented so that the air pressure inside the chamber reaches the desired amount of pressure.

HUMIDITY TEST CABINET

This calibration device is a place where the sensors or the means of measuring humidity, such as thermohygrograph, higrometer, etc.. can be calibrated.

The working principle of this calibrator using the heater as a heater. Inside the Chamber is also a fan that is useful to stabilizing the air humidity inside. Humidity settings set by using the panel that changed as you wish.

CLIMATOLOGY CALIBRATION EQUIPMENT AND AIR QUALITY [12/11/2010]
His goal is the calibration process is to maintain the accuracy of the resulting observation data so that deviation scores (deviations) from the means of the climate observation stations Climatology Meteorology and Geophysics Agency. Calibration results can then be used as a reference to set the re-observation equipment so that they can return to standard position. However, if the tool does not allow to be set back, it can be recommended for replacement of equipment such observations.
